In Attica, in addition to the large mountains that enclose the basin, many lower mountains and hills are also of climbing interest, where small crags are organized by Athenian climbers, mainly for sport climbing.
Excluding the large mountains of Attica (Parnitha, Penteli, Ymittos, Geraneia, Kithaironas and Pateras), which deserve special mention, we define Dytiki Attiki (Western Attica) as the region west of Athens and Piraeus, including mountains and hills such as Aigaleo, Poikilo, Pastra and others.
