The Gorge of Almyros (or Gorge of Keri) is located west of the city of Heraklion, Crete, on the eastern slopes of Stroumboulas, and heading east, ends in the area Ellinoperama or Linoperama. Above the gorge dominates the hill of Keris, which is an attraction due to the panoramic view it offers.
In the bed of the gorge there are three small churches, of St. Marina, of St. Paraskevi and St. Antonios, that is why some people call it the Gorge of the Three Churches.
The access to the inside of the gorge is from the area of Ellinoperamata, in the western suburbs of the city of Heraklion.
