Kallithea is a popular recreational location in the Lailias forest. It is located on the northern slopes of Lailias, just 28Km from the city of Serres. Access is by an asphalt road leading to the ski resort. Kallithea is a natural balcony that offers unlimited views of Orvilos and the mountains of Bulgaria. Organized recreation areas of the Forest Department and the famous Ice Park operate there, which in the winter months is transformed into an artificial ice climbing field.
