Gerontovrachos is one of the most important winter climbing practice areas in southern Greece. Modern routes with significant technical difficulties coexist with the old classic ones, giving young climbers the opportunity to test their skills at a very friendly area with easy access and return, minimal objective risks, small lengths, several rope companies around and, of course, loud music from the ski resort.
Access to the crrag is either from the Kelaria ski resort with the possibility of using a lift that arrives almost next to the routes, or from the AOS ski resort where there is also a refuge for overnight stays.
