Palmiki exodos

Rock, Traditional

The first ascent of the route “Palmiki exodos” (VI, 150m) was realized on 12/6/2004 by G. Stathopoulos - I. Moysidis - H. Avgitas.

The line starts on a pillar to the left side of which there is a demanding dihedral, while on its right side there is an easy gully. The 1st belay is set on a spike. The 2nd pitch starts with walking on the ridge until the sloping slab and then it follows an easy arête and slabs which finally lead to a characteristic hollow (cave), under a big overhang, where the belay is set, equipped with a bolt. The 3rd pitch begins with a traverse for 3m and then it follows a series of dihedrals until the ledge where the belay is set. The 4th pitch moves on a frictionless slab (VI), which is the crux of the route, and finally ends by following an easy arête. An easier way out is the narrow chimney and the dihedral to the left.
