Trantompil

Rock, Traditional

The route “Trantompil” (VIII+, 350m) was completed and climbed on 11/5/2026 by Chr. Tsoutsias - K. Vrochidis.

Several climbers participated in the implementation of the route, each with a different contribution. Initially, Christos Tsoutsias climbed the line alone in 2024 up to the ledge, in a day and a half, with rope solo techniques and the use of portaledge. Since then, several iterations of this section have been made, but always with the vision to continue straight above the negatives of the ledge. Later, Christos Tsoutsias together with Stefanos Karantinakis and Iasonas Manolas established the 7th and 8th pitches, while with Giorgos Armogenis they established the 9th pitch. Finally, the participation of Konstantinos Vrochidis led to the freeing of the A0 of the 4th pitch (VIII+) and the establishment of the 10th magnificent pitch.

The line, with minimal grass along its path, good and comfortable belays, a great route finding, airy feeling with exposure and only the necessary belays where necessary, is a diamond of the new generation of routes on the crag.

There is a possibility of retreating from the 4th relay (with rappels from R4 - R3 - R1), while from the ledge it is done with 4 rappels from the belays of "Hippocampus" (R6 - R5 - R4 - R2).
