Nefeli

Rock, Traditional

The first ascent of the route "Nefeli" (VII, 160m) was realized in summer 2001 by D. Papageorgiou, while G. Kinatidis - Z. Kamaropoulos - G. Tsiatsiaris - A. Hariskos - A. Papatheodorou also helped with the opening up of this line.

It is a sport route, which follows the slabs to the right of "Ahladi" and ends with a difficult dihedral. The quality of the rock is very good, considering the general morphology of the field, except for the ending of the 3rd pitch.

As to the necessary equipment, quickdraws should be enough, since the pitches of the route are equipped with bolts. Still, it would be better for climbers to carry a set of nuts, just in case. Moreover, this climb requires the use of 60m ropes because of the length of the 2nd pitch, while in case 50m ropes are used, halfway belays will have to be built on bolts.

The first free repetition of the route was realized by A. Antonopoulos - M. Styllas.

In order to return, one can descend from the gully of Stefani.
