Safe sex

Rock, Sport

The first ascent of the route "Safe sex" (VIII, 135m) was realized on 29/10/1999 by A. Theodoropoulos - T. Michailidis, while P. Kotronaros also helped.

It is a sport climbing route, characterized by continuous difficulty throughout almost its entire length.

The 1st pitch follows the ridge left to "Irodis", on a slightly overhanging crag, with big holes. During the rest of the 1st pitch the difficulty is not particularly continuous.

The 2nd pitch is continuously demanding for 50m, the highlight being the smooth slab a bit before the belay.

The 3rd pitch starts with a tough passage with sharp handholds and then it continuous rather easier until the end.

In order to repeat the route, one shall need 14 quickdraws and 4 - 5 medium nuts, which it would be good to place between the bolts.

Return involves three abseils by using the belays of the route.

The first repetition of "Safe sex" was realized by K. Tsoulkas - G. Panagos on 30/10/1999.
