hi guys,
sorry i dont speak any Greek ! we will have to make do with my english or french.
I have just arrived in Athens and am looking for locals who are keen to climb. if i learnt some Greek along the way even better. or if you have any advice on a mountaineering club i should join.
Im not a very strong sport climber but have the equipment and am safe and i think fun to be around.
let me know if anybody is free to climb during the week, mondays to fridays work best for me !!

Re: climbing partners
Hi Jack,
You can also try to search for partners, here: http://climbgreece.com/forums/
In case you are interested in climbing gyms, you can try the following (unfortunately the last 2 are not in english, but you can find the contact details):
Note that Rockway is for bouldering only.

http://oakaindoorclimbing.gr/contact/
http://www.rockwayclimbing.com/epikoinonia.html
Enjoy your stay in Greece and good luck with the climbing

Re: climbing partners
thanks argio,
ill post on that site too. yes i think climbing walls would be a good place to find people. but its so nice outside at the moment! i will go to one soon.
yesterday i went walking near the Fyli crags (with my harness and shoes) i joined in and did a few short routes on 'Epos'. very well bolted and not too steep, a good intro for my change from granite.
cheers
