Sikia

Post by Spaceboy »

Hi, I saw on the Rotpunkt website that there are sport climbs in the village of Sikia, at the foot of mount Giona. Does anyone know where I can find information about these climbs? I go to Mavrolithari every year, and want to find some sport climbs around there.
Also, if anyone needs a partner for any climbs in this area, sport or trad, I'll be there at Easter, and in September. I climb 6b/6c.
Thanks, Alex.

I might have a magazine clipping about it, I'll have a look tonight.
There are also a few routes in Kastriotissa

Hi Alex, as far as I know there are no route descriptions for this area. I have climbed most of the routes in the area. I could probably introduce you to the climbs, if we meet there sometime but usually I am not there at Easter or September .
Anyway we stay in contact.

All the best

I sent a pdf to the admin.
The article shows 5 sectors with 75 routes (10-45m, IV- to VII+)

Hi Nikolas and Nik, thanks for the replies. Thank you for finding the article, do you think you could email it to me too?

Nik, i'll message you next time i'm going up, and if you're there we could meet up and climb if you're free.

Nikolas, do you know where the routes in Kastriotissa are? I'm from Mavrolithari, which is the next village along, but I don't know anyone from my village who has any interest in climbing.

Thanks again for all the info.
Alex.
