Climbing in Meteora prohibited

Hi everyone!
We are a couple of Spanish climbers taht are thinking in go to Meteora to climb, but I have read that it is prohibited
Somebody know if the prohibition is for all Meteora or only for some pinacles?

Hello,

There is traditionally a red tape on rocks that house monasteries. This is out of respect. Climbing is not prohibited in the rest of the rocks (yet). There is a consideration from authorities to ban it on most of the rocks, but that hasn't happened yet and has met a fierce response from the climbing and local community.

There are two guidebooks by Stutte and Hasse which are pretty good. You should be able to find them on sale in Kalambaka and Trikala. You can also ask for more information on Facebook:
