The first ascent of the winter route “Konstantinidi - Karachaliou” (M3, 450m) was made on 26/12/2019 by A. Konstantinidis - E. Karachalios.
This winter line passes through the summer routes “Kazampoumpou”, “Incognito” and “Svarnistra”.
On the 1st pitch (M3, 40m) we start by climbing the dihedral of “Kazampoumpou”, on the left of “Incognito”, making a difficult start and continuing with beautiful climbing and good belaying throughout the length. The belay is made on R1 of “Incognito”, where there is a bolt.
On the 2nd pitch (M3, 65m) we start by climbing an interesting short passage (M3, 5m), right above the belay and follow easy ramps and ridges, up to an M2 dihedral. The belay is done on R3 of “Incognito”.
On the 3rd pitch (M3, 150m) we continue leftwards, diagonally, following ramps and slabs (M1 - M2, 70m) and after placing the rope around a large protruding rock for protection, we climb the last dihedral of “Svarnistra” (M3, 15m) and then we continue for another 50m. The belay is done at the end of the ramp.
On the 4th pitch (50°, 200m) we follow ramps up to 50° for 200m until we reach the summit, either doing intermediate belays or with a parallel movement.
Equipment used in the first ascent was a full set of wires, friends (up to Camalot #2) and one U-shaped piton.
